Herding Chickens
There is a saying “Chickens come home to roost”, meaning chickens always come back to their nesting grounds at night but I’ve never actually witnessed it. I usually herd them in around 7pm. Yes, I herd chickens. I use a long 2×2 piece of wood because I don’t have a shepherds hook.
I should totally get one.
Anyway, I forgot to put the chickens back in the coop tonight. I had taken a nap and woke up way later than expected. By the time I got outside, it was starting to rain. I was worried I would be chasing them through mud. Nope! They were all huddled in the coop, tucked in for the night. Good Chickies!
I’m anxiously awaiting all the chickens to start laying, and I really need to find a source for cartons.
Beyond that, another start of a new semester, lots going on there, gonna be a really busy time. I’m taking an 18 credit load this term, 2 classes are broken up though so it’s more like 15, but cramming a full year of American Sign Language into one term. I’m in my final home stretch this year for my Earth and Environmental Sciences and my Geographic Information Systems degrees, I just have to push through (and pass) all these courses and be done with it. Then I suppose it’s time to look for a job. Not sure how I feel about that!
