To Do List….
It’s gonna be a busy day. My folks are flying into town from Iowa tonight for the week. Thankfully, they’ll be in late because I didn’t get much of anything done yesterday. Back is still out of whack so some of this will just be more my husband than me.
- Our horses have been penned up for a week. Gotta get ‘em back out to the field.
- Muck out the stalls- gonna try some of that fossil flour and see how it does drying it up.
- I need to run to the feed store and see if they have tags for the chickies.
- a lot of general cleaning to do.
- swap a fridge, which means removing cabinets. Our fridge tried to die so we ended up with a new one, but it’s too big for the space. We have to remove some cabinets to get it to fit.
- Get my husband to unload 240 pounds of horse feed and a 50 pound bag of fossil flour from the car.
- Get the lid done for the chicky bunker.
- Clean out cages (birds, chickies, bunny)
There’s more, but that’s just the thoughts on my mind right now.
C is for Cookie, but G is for Godiva! @CrunchyBchMama
Oh Courtney, (aka Crunchy Beach Mama), you wonderful wonderful woman, who sent divinity in a box to me today. This showed up on my doorstep from her
Oh my goodness… oh my chocolaty goodness.
Nom Nom Nom! and what a perfect day for it to. I’m used to sunshine and warmth nearly year round, blue skies and a bright sun and today was just one of those icky days. It’s cold, wet, and rainy outside. I had just got back in from rounding up two very stubborn horses, getting them out of the rain and into the barn while slipping and sliding in the mud. I was in such a hurry to get out of the rain that I didn’t even see the box, Ray spotted it when he followed me in a few minutes later.
The perfect day for a cup of hot cocoa and some amazing chocolate. You just cannot beat that.
THANK YOU COURTNEY!!!!
So we *might* get snow….
It’s cloudy, overcast and COLD here in Arizona.. Okay, cold is relative since I now feel cold if it gets to 50 degrees, but we’re actually getting a hard freeze over the next couple nights down into the teens. BRRR! We have to go get cheap sheets and try to save what’s left of my landscaping project. (We got hit with an unexpected freeze a month ago that harmed them badly, they can’t take another hit. As it is, it killed off all our grass but that’s okay, it’s bermuda, it’ll come back in the spring.)
Couple last pics of the girls visit, Krissy wanted a couple pictures with the horses before they left.
Iowa Won! Time to Grill at midnight!
Whoo Hoo! Atta Boy Hawks! Now we’re just waiting for the gang to get back from the game. I’m sure they’ll be in high spirits. It’s 12 in the morning, the steaks, chicken and potatoes are on the grill, and corn is on the stove… in light of this extra meal in the middle of the night, I busted my butt off for an hour to P90X Core Synergetics… Of course, out of that hour, I probably only completed 1/2 an hour of it. I am SOOOO out of shape.
