The Peanut
Another semester done…
Well Spring Semester is finally over (phew!)- I am taking a summer course though so I started that this week. Just trying to get some classes out of the way is all.
I got such a burst of energy after completing that last final for the Spring Semester that I tackled a large chunk of housework this evening. I moved the horses, got their water bin moved (that was exhausting), fed the chickens and watered what we hope to be our front yard if the grass seed we put down will take.
Now I’m sore and hurt all over. I was going to run to the store tonight (I prefer to shop at night whenever possible, it’s so quiet) but I think I’m going to have to call it a night and just get some rest.
I have a level 2 Ultrasound tomorrow, Peanut has been laying on her belly and they haven’t been able to get all the full measurements that they need. I’m going to ask them to reconfirm if it’s a girl. No offense to my ultrasound tech, but I had a coworker who was told they were having a girl and surpise, out came a boy! So I might as well see if they can double check. I’m perfectly content (and very happy) for a girl, I just wanna make sure I’m getting adorable clothes in the right color. 
I feel very light kicks at night, just little tap tap taps here and there. My husband is anxiously awaiting for when he’ll be able to feel the kicks too. I only have 4 months left, seems like such a short amount of time yet soooo far away.
So that’s all for tonight’s rambling. I’m calling it a night!

And the Peanut is……
A Girl!!!
So much for mommy intuition, I had a dream the other night and in the dream it felt like a boy. Oops! That’s okay, I’m perfectly content and happy. Yay, my Peanut is a girl! Yes, the name is just stuck.
Heart beat today was 154, strong and steady.
I’m in such a great mood!

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to find out what Peanut is today. Peanut was determined to keep his/her legs crossed the entire time.
They’re going to have me come back in 2 weeks (Friday at 4:30) to try again.
My first cloth diapers arrived, yay!
My sister (Jen) got me a gift certificate for my first cloth diapers for my birthday and they arrived today. They’re fuzzibuns, one size fits all. Thanks Jen! You rock!
First thing I did of course was snap a picture to put up on FB so my sister could see what she got me and the Peanut.
My sister-in-law (Courtney, aka CrunchyBeachMama) is the one I have to thank for pointing out the new cloth diapers in the first place. I knew long ago that I had planned on doing cloth diapers but I had always just pictured the old cloth diapers all strung up on a clothesline drying, and safety pins and rubber pants everywhere. But sometime between then and now, some mom’s out there in the world decided “We want cloth, but BETTER!” and I thank them for that.
And I thank Courtney for knowing all this stuff and sharing all her experiences and reviews with the world.
I figured out the elastic sides right away (freakin’ ingenious how they did that!!!) though I admit I”m still trying to figure out the actual snaps and how they adjust down. I can see how they adjust out, but how to adjust them down so they’re not wading up on the babies chest, I’ve still gotta get that part worked out yet.
So these are my first 6 diapers, my Peanut is gonna have one cute colorful butt!!!
My next set are going to be best-bottoms I think, and then I want to find a good set of prints as well. I’m aiming for 18.
Vote Now! Is it a boy or girl Peanut?
So there’s been some debate going on my personal facebook profile as to if we’re having a girl or a boy, so I thought I would put up a poll for fun!
We are having the Anatomy scan done April 23rd.
There are a lot of different “myths” about finding out the babies sex and I’m right down the middle on most of them. Here’s one of the sites (which I actually found 5 duplicates of on other sites) that gives a list of things to check for. Here’s some details, take your best shot at guessing. I have put a G or B or ? if it’s odd or unknown by the following things as they’re supposed to be indicators according to the link above.
G: The Peanut’s heartrate has steadily been 150 bpm
B: I crave pickles, sour stuff, and meat/cheese
?: My pillow faces EAST… not North or South, lol. Have fun with that one.
B: I have had very little morning sickness, aside from chicken.
?: I’m not really showing yet (not much) so no input on basketball or watermelon
